Open a video on YouTube
An AutoDub button appears in the player control bar. Click it and pick your language; AutoDub detects the original language on its own.
Press play
The dub plays over the video in real time. You can balance it against the original audio and change the speaking speed.

How is this different from YouTube's auto-translated captions?
Auto-translated captions are text only, and the machine translation is often rough. AutoDub gives you a voice speaking the translation, and its subtitles show the original next to the translation, so you can tell when a line was translated badly.
Isn't YouTube already auto-dubbing some videos?
On some channels, yes. YouTube's own auto-dubbing covers a limited set of languages and only appears where the channel has it. AutoDub works on the video you're watching right now, in the language you choose.
Does AutoDub download or modify the video?
No. Nothing is uploaded or downloaded. The translation plays in your browser on top of the original YouTube player, and the video itself is untouched.

Does it work on live streams?
Not yet. AutoDub works on regular YouTube videos; live streams aren't supported.
